Naviance Student

Naviance Student by Hobsons is a comprehensive K-12 college and career readiness platform that enables self-discovery, career exploration, academic planning, and college preparation for millions of students around the globe.

Naviance Student will be introduced to students during their Freshman or first year of high school. All students are assigned a registration code to allow them to access the Naviance Student system. Students have the opportunity to update their resumes in Naviance Student and other career tools accessible to students can assist with post-high school planning.

Naviance Student can show current students the average GPA and standardized test scores of accepted students from HMHS at 3,500+ colleges and universities (student identities are protected.) In addition, students may view detailed information about a college or university, including the number of students who’ve applied, been accepted, and attended that school – all based on HMHS alumni. This is an important factor, as students are evaluated for college admission based on the context of their high school

Organize applications – Once senior year begins, students will find that Naviance Student becomes a personal filing system. The features under “colleges” help students to organize applications, track deadlines, and provide for secure submission of transcripts.

Research colleges – Perform a college search based on criteria like location, size, student body, and more. Compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from HMHS students who have applied and been admitted.

View college overlaps – Students often find schools that are a good academic fit, but want more schools just like it. By clicking on overlaps, students can see up to 10 more schools that are similar. This data is compiled through application analysis. Students who apply to one school will typically apply to the 10 college overlaps.

Sign up for college visits – HMHS offers a variety of college visits in the fall months. Find out which colleges are visiting our school and sign up to attend those sessions. Students are required to communicate with their teachers prior to confirming attendance to college visits.
